Backflow Prevention (Check Valves)

Swing check valves, which are used to prevent the backflow of fluid, are designed to operate under both positive and negative pressure conditions, and are suitable for use with both clean and contaminated water.

Spring-Loaded Check Valve

It begins to operate when flow starts in the pipeline, opening the disc as it moves in the direction of flow. The disc is designed to allow full passage. Should flow cease in the pipeline, it closes to prevent reverse flow. Sealing is achieved by the disc seating against the metal seat surface. Sealing can be achieved either by metal-to-metal contact or using a sealing gasket, depending on the application. If required, the valve disc can be coated with rubber to ensure sealing. It can also be manufactured with a counterweight to provide flow control. It is suitable for use in vertical pipelines. Maintenance and repair are very straightforward. When the top cover bolts are removed, the valve and connection mechanism can be removed. It provides full sealing at low pressures. During installation, the valve must be fitted to the pipeline in accordance with the arrow marking on the valve.

Tilting Check Valve

Its short-body design offers significant advantages in terms of size and weight. The ability to attach the counterweight arm to either the right or left side of the check valve facilitates connection to the pipeline in both horizontal and vertical positions. The valve disc moves freely in response to the flow. The valve’s opening speed and extent depend on the flow rate. The position of the weight on the counterweight arm can be adjusted according to operating conditions. Sealing is achieved by metal-to-metal contact or a sealing gasket. In areas in contact with water, the connecting bolts are made of A2 70 stainless steel. The tilting check valve features a maintenance-free design.
