USM series ultrasonic water meters
The ATLAS USM series water meters are high-precision meters designed for use in both hot and cold water supply systems to measure water consumption. They are available in brass, cast iron and composite materials. They offer high repeatability and measurement accuracy. They can be installed horizontally or vertically within the plumbing system. They are not affected by magnetic fields. Designed to integrate with any type of automation and remote reading system, they feature built-in and optional communication systems (M-Bus, Pulse/Output, LoRa/LoRaWAN). ATLAS CNV data loggers can be used with a LoRa Gateway

How do you select an ultrasonic water meter?
Consider the system’s flow requirements, installation space and reading method together. Products with the same DN can have different flow ranges and communication options.
- Flow values: Compare the Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 and R values in the table with the project’s measurement requirements.
- Dimensions: Check that the DN, body length, height and width suit the installation space.
- Operating environment: Verify temperature, pressure and IP protection ratings using the selected model’s technical documentation.
Does a water meter measure the same thing as a heat meter?
A water meter measures the volume of water consumed. A heat meter calculates transferred thermal energy from flow and temperature measurements. Select the product group according to whether the project needs water volume or thermal energy monitoring.
Remote water meter reading
M-Bus, pulse and LoRa/LoRaWAN options depend on the model and order configuration. Explore M-Bus converters for wired infrastructure and the LoRaWAN Gateway for a LoRaWAN network. Confirm compatibility between the meter and the reading system.
