An agricultural irrigation hydrant is used to measure the pressure, flow rate and volume of water at field-based intake points, where water is transported to fields via closed-pipe systems in pressurised irrigation systems, and to regulate the flow of water.
In short, we can say that the Hydraulic Irrigation Hydrant, as specified in the TSE and CE standards, fulfils the following four functions:
- Measuring the volume of water flowing using a meter.
- Ensuring that the flow rate of the water does not exceed the maximum limit.
- Pressure regulation (using an integrated regulator)
- Being equipped with a valve that allows for opening and closing
Irrigation hydrants, installed at the field-side outlets of pressurised water pipes, ensure that all users receive water under equal or similar conditions at points within the irrigation system where pressure and flow rates may vary, regardless of site conditions. They help maintain the integrity of the irrigation system and play a positive role in preventing water wastage.
In addition to these features, thanks to the prepaid integrated meters, water is consumed in accordance with the credit or cubic metre amount loaded onto the farmer’s card; any remaining credit is refunded to the card when the valve is closed. The systems we have installed since 2014 have demonstrated that this results in significant water savings.
With the LoRaWAN integrated communication system developed by our company, the organisation can remotely view all water usage statistics via www.atlasserver.io and carry out opening, closing or restriction operations. Furthermore, farmers can top up their credit via mobile phone or the internet and perform opening and closing operations remotely.
The system’s impact on water conservation has been demonstrated in large-scale applications across many regions, and the system has become widely adopted. Our HSH-IoT type hydraulic irrigation hydrants are manufactured in single or dual Type-4 outlet configurations in accordance with the TS EN 14267 standard. They hold TSE and CE quality certificates. Currently, they feature the most advanced technology available worldwide. Our products, manufactured from GGG40 material, are painted using thermoplastic paint and made available on the market.
