UKM series ultrasonic heat meters
ATLAS UKM ultrasonic heat meters measure energy in heating and cooling circuits. Select the body material, installation orientation and connection dimensions for the required model. M-Bus, pulse and LoRa/LoRaWAN communication options must match the ordered hardware and reading infrastructure. Models with the appropriate interface can connect to remote reading systems through ATLAS CNV or a LoRaWAN Gateway.

Minimum flow rate and model documentation
This table is for preliminary selection. Confirm minimum flow rates (qi), including the starred 0.012 m³/h value for UKM15, against the current datasheet and type approval documentation of the ordered model. Some minimum flow values differ between the catalogue and web table; do not use them alone as definitive order specifications.
Selecting an ultrasonic heat meter
Pipe size alone is not enough to select a heat meter. Consider the minimum and nominal flow rates, installation length, connection type and communication requirements together.
- Flow range: Compare each model’s minimum, nominal and maximum flow rates in the table above.
- Installation: Match the DN, connection size and body length to the system design.
- Operating conditions: Check temperature, pressure and protection ratings against the selected model’s technical documentation.
What is the difference between UKM15 and UKM20?
The table specifies a nominal flow rate of 1.50 m³/h and an installation length of 110 mm for UKM15, compared with 2.50 m³/h and 130 mm for UKM20. Select the model according to the system’s flow requirements and connection dimensions.
How do mechanical and ultrasonic heat meters compare?
Ultrasonic models measure flow using an ultrasonic principle without moving parts in the flow sensor. Mechanical heat meters use a mechanical flow sensor. Compare each model’s flow range, installation conditions and reading infrastructure.
