Instantaneous flow and total volume measurement for different liquids. Power, sensors and communication options are selected to suit your application and the required conductivity.

Consider battery-powered measurement for remote water and irrigation pipelines. Battery life, measurement settings and communication requirements must be evaluated together.
TEM82E and W803E+ are source converter references. The final ATLAS order code is determined by the sensor and converter configuration.
| Measuring principle | Electromagnetic measurement of conductive liquids in a completely full pipe. |
|---|---|
| Conductivity | >5 µS/cm; confirm suitability for low-conductivity applications. |
| Power options | 85–265 VAC or 18–36 VDC, depending on the version. |
| Accuracy options | ±0.5% / ±0.25%, depending on the selected version and operating conditions. |
| Outputs and communication | Depending on hardware: 4–20 mA, pulse, RS485/Modbus or HART. Simultaneous availability is not assumed. |
| Lining and electrodes | PTFE, rubber and other lining options; 316L and alternative electrodes, selected for fluid compatibility. |
| Pressure, temperature and protection | Confirm DN/PN, lining, housing, converter and complete-device IP rating in the quotation. |

| Power | Battery operation; external 12–24 VDC depending on configuration. |
|---|---|
| Conductivity | For clean water: >20 µS/cm. |
| Accuracy | Class 0.5 with a compatible sensor; confirm the ordered configuration. |
| Battery life | Manual reference: 3–6 years, depending on excitation current and operating configuration. |
| Protection | IP68 is specified for the converter outer enclosure. The complete device, cables and connections require separate confirmation. |
| Communication | RS485/Modbus, GPRS or HART, depending on the selected module and power supply. |
| 4–20 mA output | Requires an external current-output module and 12–24 VDC supply. |
| Measurement frequency | Depends on converter settings. Fast continuous process control requires a separate assessment. |

Ensure that the sensor section remains completely full during operation.
Assess straight pipe runs together with pumps, valves and elbows.
Check grounding, equipotential bonding, gaskets and wiring against the selected model manual.
PLC/SCADA or AtlasServer.io integration is engineered around the device output, protocol, power supply and communication infrastructure.
LoRaWAN, GSM/4G and NB-IoT are not built into every model. External hardware, site infrastructure and software scope are specified in the quotation.
Model-specific drawings, wiring diagrams, calibration and conformity documents are supplied against the confirmed order code.
Monitor pipeline flow, district consumption and measuring points.
Track water use and assess remote measuring points.
Select equipment for the fluid, materials and automation requirements.
Evaluate the measurement objective, fluid, flow range, pipe and installation conditions together. Electromagnetic, clamp-on and in-line ultrasonic technologies serve different requirements.
No. The liquid must have sufficient electrical conductivity and be compatible with the lining and electrodes. This method is not suitable for gas, steam or insufficiently conductive liquids.
A suitable battery-powered converter can be considered. Communication and analogue outputs may require additional modules and external power.
Consider the clamp-on ultrasonic family. Pipe material, outside diameter, wall thickness and acoustic conditions must be suitable.
Connectivity depends on the selected equipment and project scope. Protocol/register maps, modules, power supply and gateways must be validated together.
Provide the fluid, minimum/normal/maximum flow, DN, pressure, temperature, connection standard, power and communication requirements. For clamp-on meters, include pipe outside diameter, wall thickness and material.
