From field data to controlled irrigation.
Determine watering duration from plant demand, effective rainfall, soil water balance and measured application rate.
How it works
Reference evapotranspiration is not a runtime. Calculate net demand from the root-zone water balance, convert to gross depth using application efficiency, and derive runtime from application rate or the flow-area relationship. Use cycle-and-soak where slope or infiltration requires it.
Data used
ET₀; crop/landscape coefficient; net water requirement; application efficiency; precipitation rate in mm/h or zone flow.

Design and commissioning
Define scope by evaluating site topology, planting and soil, selected devices, sensors and software version together. For retrofit projects, establish valve/coil compatibility, measurement points, communication coverage and operational responsibilities during the survey.
Example: 4 mm gross requirement / 12 mm/h application rate = 20 minutes. This illustrates the calculation and is not a site setting.
The next step
Closed-loop scheduling that updates runtime from actual flow and moisture feedback while accounting for forecast uncertainty.
This section describes development and project-specific integration objectives. It is not a claim of standard product availability or guaranteed performance; implemented functions are defined in the quotation and acceptance criteria.
Applications
Municipal parks, public gardens, university campuses, industrial-zone landscapes, residential estates, hotels, sports facilities and road medians. As zone and site counts grow, standard asset records, traceable actions and measured management become essential.
